LEVENTE PÀLL Basso
1st Prize 2009 Sacred Music International. Competition
Born in 1985 into a Transylvanian family of musicians, the Hungarian Levente Pèll received his first musical impulses during his training at the high school of music in Szombathely. In 2005 Levente started his studies for solo bass with Prof. Franz Lukasovsky at the University of Music in Vienna. In 2003 he started studying viola with Prof. Wolfgang Klos and in 2009 he received his master diploma with magna cum laude.
He regularly sings as a soloist in religious and secular performances, such as the solo bass part in Rossinis "Petite Messe Solennelle" directed by Gustav Kuhn in Lucca/Italy, or in Dietrich Buxtehudes passion cantata "Membra Jesu Nostri" in Szombathely with the Capella Savaria. In May 2007 he sang the solo part in J. S. Bachs "Bauernkantate" in a concert at the Vienna Musikverein (Gläsernen Saal) and in April 2008 he sang the solo bass part of J.S.Bachs Johannes-Passion in Ferrara.
In 2008 he sang a solo part in Beethovens "Fidelio", conducted by Claudio Abbado with performances in Italy, Germany and Spain. In summer 2009 he performed Petrus in Jonathan Harvey's church opera "Passion and Resurrection" at the Festival "Carintischer Sommer" in Ossiach/Austria.
Levente Pàll won two special prizes at the International Händel Singing Competition in Eger, Hungary, one of which is the special prize of the Hungarian Radio, which enabled a live broadcast in March 2008 on "Bartók Rádió", the Hungarian radio station for classical music.
In November 2009 he was awarded with the 2nd prize at the song competition of the Petyrek-Lang-Foundation in Vienna and with the 1st prize at the International Singing Competition "Musica Sacra" in Rome. Since then he is member of the ensemble " Celeste Armonia".
